Prizes & Prize Giving

As this is the Irish Orienteering Championships, prizes will be awarded to the top three ranked, eligible, Irish competitors in each class, if the class winner is not eligible to be Irish Champion they will be awarded a class winner’s prize. Prizegiving for Day 1 -3 is on Sunday 30th at 19:00 in Lynhams of Laragh.  The relay prizegiving will happen at the relay arena after the conclusion of the relay.


Results

 Results will be available online in real-time during the event, assuming mobile signal, and each map has a results QR code.


Photography 

There will be an official photographer taking pictures at the event, including in the competition area. Photos will be published online during and after the event. To avoid photographs of juniors or at risk adults being published please email 2023IOC@gmail.com before the event.


Safety Considerations

All competitors should take note of the following safety considerations:

Whistles will be mandatory for the Classic and Middle distance events. No whistle, no go.

Full leg cover is advised for all events. Cagoule – may be mandatory if the weather is bad.

Please bring sunscreen just in case.

Please do not damage fences and walls as it damages our relationships with the landowners.

Be aware that ticks can be found in areas being used at the IOC.


Please check yourselves for ticks after you run and be sure to remove them promptly.
